She began her professional career in Los Angeles as a youth advisor and early childhood educator for Jewish youth.

Prior to that, she attended Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, where she received her rabbinic ordination in 2013 and was a Mandel Fellow. She was also a graduate of the Teaching Israel Fellow program at American Jewish University and the Senior Educators Cohort at the M2 Institute for Experiential Jewish Education.

Rabbi Gerace has enjoyed sharing and implementing her vision for Jewish education within the community since she began serving as PJTC’s education director in 2017. While holding the position of education director presents numerous positive aspects, Rabbi Gerace particularly enjoyed strengthening relationships with parents and empowering them to embody Jewish identity with self-assurance, thereby setting an exemplary example for their children.

In addition to strolling through the neighborhood with her family, she took great pleasure in experimenting with her Instant Pot and seasoning chili with hot sauce in the kitchen when she was not challenging the norms and objectives of Jewish education.

Rabbi Gerace, who was born in the San Fernando Valley, currently resides in Los Angeles with her spouse Marco, their son Carson (who is a B’nai Simcha student), their daughter Amalia, and their two feline companions.
